The Grand National is quite simply one of the biggest sporting events of the year and in turn it is one of the biggest betting events of the year, those who would not normally have a bet are eager to get involved in the race. Everyone of those people having a bet on the race are all looking for the same thing; the winner of the 2012 Grand National. there are some race trends that should be taken note of before making a bet.
The History of the Grand National in recent years does give us some pointers to follow when it comes to putting together the race trends, every now and then one like 100/1 shot Mon Mome in 2009 slips through the net. In general though punters should be looking for horses that fall into as many of these trends as possible, if they do then they should have a chance of running a big race.
