Grand National Jockeys 2013
All young jockeys dream of winning the Grand National and to achieve that dream is the pinnacle of any career, many try for years and fail to win the big one with the huge fences often causing the boys on board to come a cropper. Some Jockeys seem to have a great record in the race and they are always worth following when making a bet, many Grand National punters will make a bet on the race based purely on the Jockey on board.
In Jump racing there are several big name Jockeys that the general public will have heard of and many will want to know their mounts for the 2011 National, some of the big names include Tony McCoy, Ruby Walsh, Barry Geraghty and Richard Johnson who are all at the top of their game and should be watched closely. Each of these jockeys will be on board a horse with good chances in the National and they should never be ruled out.
In 2010 we saw AP McCoy finally claim a win in the National after years of trying on board Dont Push It, the most famous Jockey in the UK had been trying to win the big one for years and finally achieved it at Aintree. The crowd were delighted for McCoy and it was one of the most memorable Grand Nationals for some time as a result, he will be aiming for a second win in 2011 and will no doubt have a fair chance of achieving that.
Ruby Walsh is many peoples favourite Jockey and he is always one to watch at Aintree, the like able Irishman has won the race twice since 2000 on Papillon and Hedgehunter back in 2005. He will get his pick of the rides from the Paul Nicholls and Willie Mullins yards so he is sure to have a very good mount, the horse he decides to ride will be well backed in the betting and should be considered very carefully.
