Grand National Contenders 2011 - Hello Bud
There is no getting away from the fact that at 13-years-old Hello Bud is a veteran in horse racing terms but he is a horse that is enjoying somewhat of an Indian summer in his career with the Grand National once again the aim this season. We saw Hello Bud run well at Aintree in the National last season to finish 5th and he looks to be as good this season following his brilliant win in the Becher Chase at Aintree back in November.
Latest Hello Bud Grand National 2011 Odds
The Becher Chase is always seen as the very best National trial as it is the only one that is run over the National fences albeit over a shorter distance. There is no substitute for experience over the fences which is why Hello Bud is being well backed for Aintree once again for Trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies. It does have to be said though that at 13 all the stats are telling us that he cannot win this year's race, he may have missed a good opportunity last season when he was not good enough so it is hard to see him reaching the standard this time around.
At the same time as doubting his chances of winning, punters should definitely put a ring around Hello Bud when considering their each-way bets for Aintree as we know he has the form to get round the course and should give punters a run for their money.
