Grand National Meeting

Grand National Meeting 2013

One part of the Grand National that many punters and fans are unaware of is the fact that before the worlds biggest steeplechase there are two days of excellent action to enjoy. The Grand National Festival runs for three days in total with some great races on both the Thursday and Friday to take in before the big day on Saturday afternoon, it is a meeting that continues to grow and the quality of horses throughout the three days is of the highest standard.

The first couple of days also give punters a great chance to warm up ready for the National on Saturday afternoon by enjoying the excellent action, to highlight the quality of the card we had Gold Cup winner Imperial Commander in the Totesport Bowl on Thursday in 2010. That race in particular has grown in stature recently and we are expecting another stellar in 2012 for the race.

Also on Day 1 of the Festival each year is the brilliant Grade 1 Liverpool Hurdle race, we saw Big Bucks get up with ease to win in 2010 after winning the World Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. He is the very best staying Hurdler so it goes to highlight the point that the big trainers are taking their stars to Aintree throughout the three days of the National Meeting.
